The Gramophone International Music Competition is an international professional art event jointly established by the Moscow State Conservatory, the World Contemporary Musicians Association, and the Gramophone International Music Competition Organizing Committee. The competition is supported by the Moscow Ministry of Culture, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, State University of New York, Stony Brook Conservatory of Music and over 70 leading arts institutions worldwide. This competiion is hosted by Gramophone International Music Competition Organizing Committee, Association for World Contemporary Musicians, supported by Center China-Europe International Institute of Music and Art, and cohosted by MusicNBrain organization.
First Round Video Submission: Feburary 15, 2025
Final Performance: March 8, 2025
Award Ceremony and Winners Concert: March 8, 2025.
Note: The repertoire for the final round should be the same repertoire as the preliminary round. Repertoire change needs to be approved by the Competition Committee.

Group C, D: Two self-selected pieces, up to 15 minutes in total.

Composition Category Requirements
Preliminary/Final Round Requirements: Submit one unpublished original music work, up to 6 minutes in duration.
There are no special restrictions on the instruments in the songwriting category. Any instrument can be used, including vocals and chorus. Music entries should be submitted as mp3 or wav format audio files. No less than 44.1Khz, 16Bit, stereo, no restrictions on language, style, or form.
Description: Include a brief description of the work, detailing its theme, expression, and creation methods.

1,Video Shooting Requirements for Participants:
Orientation and Resolution: Videos should be shot in landscape mode (16:9 aspect ratio) with a minimum resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels.
Editing and Compression: Do not edit or alter the video post-production. Avoid excessive compression of the file.
Equipment: The choice of recording device is flexible. Use a tripod to avoid camera shake during the performance.
Lighting: Ensure proper lighting in the recording environment. If the environment is too dark, use additional lighting as needed.
Audio Quality: Maintain a quiet recording environment to prevent background noise from affecting the judging panel's evaluation.
2,Recording Requirements for Participants:
Camera Position: The camera must be fixed in place during recording. Record in landscape mode using MP4 format.
Performance: Both instrumental performances and vocal performances may include piano accompaniment, but ensure that audio and video are synchronized and the video is continuous without cuts.
Integrity: Any discovery of fraudulent behavior will result in immediate disqualification from the competition.
Attire: Participants should wear clean and tidy clothing. Pay attention to the camera angle to ensure the framing is attractive and clear. The entire body of the performer must be clearly visible in the shot.
3,After Recording:
Upload: Upload the completed video to YouTube. You may choose to set the video as "Unlisted" (visible only to those with the video link).
Link Submission: Enter the video link into the preliminary round registration form.
Notification: Inform your recommending teacher, institution, or organizing committee staff of the video link.
Note: In the email body, please include the contact person's name and phone number. The sheet music should be submitted as a PDF file, or as clear, sequentially numbered photographs compiled into a single folder. This folder, along with the competition video, should be compressed into a single file for submission.
1, Eligibility: There are no restrictions on nationality or region for participants in this competition.
2, Accompaniment: For the finals, if the selected piece requires accompaniment, it must be performed with accompaniment. If you do not provide your own accompanist, the organizing committee will offer paid piano accompaniment services.
3, Performance Requirements: Participants should choose pieces and categories that match their actual capabilities. Performers must memorize their pieces. In the online competition, if a participant has multiple pieces, they may decide the order of performance. Except for passages marked with D.C., no repetitions are allowed.
4, Submission Details: Participants must provide correct and compliant information for their entries. The organizing committee will keep personal information confidential, and the mailing address will be used solely for sending prizes after the competition. Participants are responsible for the accuracy of the information provided.
5, Acceptance of Rules: By registering for the competition, participants agree to adhere to the competition's rules and respect the decisions of the judging panel. Any disputes should be submitted in writing to the panel for reconsideration. Malicious actions against the competition may result in disqualification and legal action.
6, Force Majeure: In the event of unforeseen circumstances that prevent the competition from proceeding as planned, the organizing committee reserves the right to adjust the competition schedule and format. The committee is not responsible for any resulting issues. The organizers retain the right to change event details and timings.
7, Final Interpretation: The Gramophone International Music Competition Organizing Committee holds the final authority on interpreting these regulations.

To ensure fairness, impartiality, and transparency, the competition will use a system where judges independently score and sign their evaluation forms. Once the scoring sheets are submitted, judges will not have the authority to make changes. The number of judges for each category will be odd to ensure an unbiased average score, with the highest possible score being 100 points.
* All award-winning contestants can register for the awards ceremony and concert performance activities, and participants will receive additional concert performance certificates and on-site small gifts.
Winners in the lyric and composition category, as well as electronic music, will have the chance to be recommended for signing contracts, producing music albums, and being invited to hold international music concerts to promote their award-winning works.
